    “Increase website traffic” is often at the top of a company’s wish list, as you can drive more sales by bringing quality visitors to your site. However, knowing where to start and how to do it is the complicated part. In this article, I share five simple tricks that I use in my own work that practically anyone can implement to increase website traffic.

    1. Improve old content.

    This one strategy can skyrocket your rankings on search engines. Creating and publishing new content is important, but updating old content can have an even faster impact on increasing website traffic. The best part is that it usually doesn’t take much time to update existing content.

    Old content will eventually lose its position on SERPs (search engine results pages) due to Google’s freshness algorithm. Each web page is given a “freshness score” of sorts, which degrades over time as new content competitors emerge. Other major search engines such as Bing may follow suit.

    We recommend upgrading your existing content to increase your website traffic. We will improve the quality by adding each content and updating information. Try to improve the use of your target keywords on each page with each page refresh. Use keywords strategically and naturally throughout your content, not spam.

    2. Integrate social sharing tools into your site.

    Social sharing can increase exposure to your content and bring in more visitors. Additionally, several studies have found a strong correlation between social activity and web page rankings. It seems that the more people you share your page with, the more traffic you get from search engines.

    Integrating social media sharing tools into your website is a great way to encourage social sharing. These tools allow businesses to leverage visitors for promotion whenever content is shared. We also recommend using paid promotions as well as organically promoting your content using social media networks. Content spreads faster when you aggressively push it to its intended audience.

    3. Improve page speed.

    Page speed is the time it takes for a web page to fully load when requested. Server response time and overall web hosting settings are key factors that determine how fast a particular her web page loads. Slow loading web pages affect conversion rates. Because people generally don’t like to wait.

    Search engines also take speed into account when evaluating web pages, and load time is very important. Many websites can increase their traffic simply by improving their page speed. We recommend the following:

    • Reduce or optimize the file size of your images. This can be easily achieved in most online or offline image tools such as Photoshop.

    • Upgrade your web hosting service. Talk to your web hosting provider about upgrading to one with faster server response time.

    • Sign up for a CDN (Content Delivery Network). Using a CDN improves page speed because each user is served content from the geographically closest data center.

    4. Write better headlines.

    Headings are perhaps the most important aspect of your content. Even the best content can fail without a compelling title. In his SERP of the search engine, the headline and description of the web page are displayed to the searcher. This information is extracted from page metadata, a feature that provides additional information about the document.

    Users also decide which web pages to visit based on information in headings and descriptions. Optimize the meta title along with the main headline of your content. By improving these, you can increase your click-through rate. Your page headline should be compelling, intriguing, and promising.

    Create a few headlines before settling on one. Optimize your meta description at the same time. The elements that make a title compelling can do the same for the description.

    5. Improve your internal links.

    Internal links establish the architecture of the site and promote link fairness. Link equity is the accumulated ranking power of a site based on links pointing to it from other websites (backlinks).

    Making all web pages accessible via hyperlinks within your site is important to evenly distribute link equity. An even spread ensures that each page receives enough traffic from search engines.

    Also, search engine bots follow internal links to discover new pages on your site, so some content won’t be indexed without internal links. In addition, web pages with no internal or external links are not perceived by search engines as important. These pages are called “orphan pages”.

    We recommend auditing your site to improve your internal linking structure and increase your website traffic.

    There is no doubt that you can increase your website traffic using the tips we have mentioned. Upgrade old content. Leverage social engagement. Improve page speed. Create better headlines. and internal links to your content. It takes some work, but these are simple and effective strategies that almost any company can implement.
