Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]January 18: Bombay Industry Association (BIA), one of India’s most prominent and prestigious business associations, 12thth In January, the 59th installation ceremony was held. The BIA, celebrating its 75th anniversary, witnessed the handover of offices from last year’s President Neville Samvi to Ashish Gandhi at a ceremony. The event, held at The Taj Hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai, was attended by over 300 attendees who enthusiastically welcomed the new appointments.
Jaspal Bindra – Executive Chairman and Director of Centrum Capital Ltd. and Shriram Dandekar – Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Kokuyo Camlin Ltd. were Guests of Honor. Mr Rajesh Kshirsagar – Executive Chairman of the National Planning Commission and Vice Chairman of ‘Mitra’ was the main guest of the event.
At the start of the programme, Mr Rajesh Kshirsagar was publicly congratulated on being appointed Vice President of ‘Mitra’ organization in Maharashtra on behalf of the Bombay Industry Association. On this occasion, Mr Rajesh Kshirsagar commended the incumbent Chairman of the Bombay Industry Association Mr Nevil Sanghvi for his outstanding work during his tenure and wished Mr Ashish Gandhi all the best for his future endeavours. . In his speech, Ashish Gandhi announced the launch of BIA-Next, a platform for the next generation of young entrepreneurs to network, learn and grow. As part of the BIA Academia program, an MOU has been signed between NM College (Bail Pearl) and Chetana College (Bandra) to offer students internships and eventual placements.
Mr. Gandhi has been a member of the Society for over ten years. Having worked in the packaging industry for over 20 years and held various leadership positions within the association, he brings extensive industry experience and leadership skills to this position.
