January 11 — A familiar face in the Colorado Springs business and tech community gets a makeover.
To more accurately reflect the company’s range of services, which has grown over the past few years to include a broad range of products beyond search engine optimization (SEO), SocialSEO, a company focused on digital marketing, Changed name to Intero Digital.
Intero Digital Co-CEO Greg Walthour said: “We offer our clients a whole suite of digital services.”
The new name, Intero, is derived from the Italian word for “whole” and represents the breadth of digital marketing products the company promotes. Intero’s marketing division expanded from SEO in 2016 to include seven entities operating under the Intero name, with a focus on search engine marketing (SEM), social media, Amazon, PR, content marketing, and web design. “We did it because our clients asked for it, and we think being multi-service makes it a lot easier for them,” says Walthour. “And now he can provide all the services they need in one place.”
Founded in 1996, Intero was a consulting firm that gradually transitioned from consulting to business, Walthour said. By 2008, the company was primarily focused on his SEO, but in 2016 began branching out into other digital services.
The company currently has approximately 1,500 customers worldwide. Intero’s average customer’s annual revenue is $3 million to his $50 million.

“We’ve grown tremendously over the last few years,” says Walthour. “We’ve been a very aggressive company…we’ve also had some good tailwinds with digital growth.”
The company will continue to be based in Colorado Springs and will expand to 25,000 square feet of office space as Intero grows.
Approximately 100 Intero employees are based in Colorado Springs.
