I was on vacation, so my monthly Google Webmaster Report was a week late, and it was hard to put these together. But it’s a big deal, and I wanted to share with you the changes in Google SEO, webmasters, and organic search over the last month.
The big news was clearly a helpful content update from Google, which I thought was going to be a big one, but once the rollout started it turned out not to be a big change at all. There are lots of articles on that topic below, so check them out below. Also, the fourth product review update is complete, and according to Google, his fifth version will be available soon.
Google had some serious problems with Google Search, including outages, indexing issues, and page dropouts. Google has launched a new Featured Snippets feature that includes callouts, improving false assumptions, adding MUM, and more. There was also an unconfirmed update in early August. And did you know that without a link-focused search algorithm update in a long time, image search now uses Google Lens?
Google has improved the Search Console error and fixed the validation fix stop. The new Search Console video indexing report is fully live and has a lot more to offer. Additionally, last month was full of topics on Google SEO, user interfaces, locals, and more.
If you missed last month’s report, check out the August Google Webmaster Report here.
