    How to rank higher in Amazon search results

    Amazon’s search algorithm (known as A9) sorts products on the search results page according to their organic rank. Amazon wants to present shoppers with the products they are most likely to purchase. So, the more relevant your listing’s keywords are to a specific customer’s search query, the more likely it is to appear on the first page of search results. Top products appear at the top of the page, and bottom products move down the page.

    Given the lack of these determinants, organic rank is easy to conceptualize. Let’s say you sell mesh trucker hats, but for some reason you forget to include the keyword “mesh” or “tracker” somewhere in your list. Your hat will not show up in a search for “mesh trucker hat”.     You need optimized listings and high conversion rates to rank well for relevant keywords. Luckily, there are simple strategies you can follow to increase your rank.

    Optimize your listing title
    Your listing title is one of the most important elements of an effective Amazon listing. You have to engage both the customer and her A9 with clues about product relevance.

    When writing your title, put your most important keywords first so your customers can quickly understand your product. Amazon truncates long titles for certain categories, so preloading title keywords is also important.

    After attracting customers with a great title, you need to sell your product on the rest of your list.

    Strategic pricing of products
    The price is competitive on Amazon. If the price is too high, customers may choose more affordable options. Too low a price can trigger a “price war” that devalues ​​the niche market.

    The main image should have a plain white background, while other images can include interesting lifestyle settings, informative text, logos and other eye-catching elements. Use infographics and size comparisons or charts to provide key information to help your customers convert.

    Make compelling copy of your list
