Kate finished last among senior royals when the number of royal engagements for 2022 was tallied.The Princess of Wales attended just 90 engagements in 2022. This was her 33 fewer engagements than in 2021 and less than half the engagements her father-in-law, Prince Charles, has done. The late Queen’s daughter surpassed King Charles with 214 engagements in 2022, compared to the monarch’s 181.
Prince Edward came in third with 143 engagements, while Sophie Wessex came in fourth with 138 engagements.
Prince William has recorded 126 engagements this year and the Queen has 102.
Both figures are lower than those recorded in 2021, which is believed to be partly related to the period of mourning surrounding the Queen’s death.
