Princess Anne maintains her crown as the hardest working royal.
Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter attended the most royal engagements of any member of the royal family in 2022, according to the Reboot SEO Company’s tally using Court Circular. Princess Anne, 72, has had a total of 214 engagements, topping the list.
King Charles came in second with 181 official visits in the last 12 months. Much of it took place before her death in September when Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne. Of course, he is also working hard behind the scenes during his early reign.
Prince Edward and Lady Sophie, Countess of Wessex, will perform 143 and 138 official duties in 2022, placing them third and fourth on the list respectively.

Prince William rounded out the top five with 126, including all stops on his recent visit to Boston, culminating in the Earthshot Awards ceremony he created.
Queen Camilla was sixth with 102 engagements, while Kate Middleton was ninth with 90 engagements.

The top ten list was rounded out by the Duke of Gloucester (100 engagements), Duchess of Gloucester (94 engagements) and Duke of Kent (78 engagements).
This isn’t the first time Princess Anne holds the title of hardest working royal. The then-Prince Charles topped the list in his 2019 and his 2020, but his sister is regularly the hardest working.
Princess Anne has also taken on a number of personal duties in 2022. That included accompanying the Queen to her mother’s coffin on her return to England from Scotland, where she died at Balmoral Castle on 8 September.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace after Queen Elizabeth’s death, Princess Anne said, “I was fortunate to share the last 24 hours of my beloved mother’s life.” It was an honor and a privilege.”
Princess Anne was the only female member of the royal family to attend Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession.
