As a small but significant piece of Jets news, it’s absolutely surprising that Jets defensive players are reportedly unhappy with quarterback Zach Wilson after his inappropriate comments following yesterday’s loss. It doesn’t matter.
I heard this morning #jet defensive player. Clearly, Zach Wilson’s post-match accountability (or lack of responsibility) didn’t work.

According to ESPN New York’s Rich Simini, following Wilson, there’s “raw emotion” among Jets defensive players who let the team’s defense down after scoring just three points in yesterday’s loss. It was a bad day for Wilson to make worse for himself.
After failing to lead the offense on one scoring drive, the Jets lost the contest on a Patriots punt return with five seconds remaining. Wilson then met with the media and indicated the following: the worst was yet to comeWhen Jets columnist Connor Hughes asked if he felt his offense failure let the defense down, Wilson simply replied, “No, no.”
Wilson is now being criticized on social media by fans, former players and coaches, with former Jets head coach Rex Ryan joining in on the action.
“It’s definitely time for him to grow up.”

Ryan stressed the importance of accountability for quarterbacks, and at this point, Wilson is seen as more of a “punk” than having the toughness to play in the New York market.
